Jessica ClarkFounder, The After Group
Jessica Clark, CADC · FounderI started at a front desk in Des Moines, answering calls from scared families who didn’t know where to begin.
Since then I’ve counseled, built an opioid treatment program from the ground up, and worked in hospital addiction medicine. I know the programs, the people, and exactly where plans fall apart.
I built The After Group so you can work directly with someone who knows you. Private sessions, practical help and continuing support, built around your goals and your life.
One appointment, something specific or ongoing support. We’ll decide what fits your situation.
I want you and your family to understand your options and feel secure making decisions. Over time, you should need less direction from me.
Tell me what’s happening, what you want to change and what’s in the way. We work out where to start and one thing you can actually do.
We notice the small wins. We talk about setbacks. If a goal isn’t achievable, we change it.
You can want help with drinking or drug use without wanting to enter a program. You can also finish treatment and still need support getting through an ordinary week.
We can work on what happens at home, at work and in your relationships. I can meet with you privately, involve your family with your permission, coordinate appointments or arrange practical help.
We decide together what help you need, how often we meet and when to step back.
Private inquiryBook a private appointment, hire me for a specific service or arrange continuing support. We discuss fees before you decide.

Work on your drinking, drug use, cravings or a family concern. Leave with something specific to practice. Meet once or come back regularly.
An intervention. A treatment admission. Getting someone home. Testing, transport or a companion. We’ll agree on the work and who’s doing what.
Continue with sessions, family work, check-ins or practical help after treatment. We review what’s useful and reduce my involvement as you take on more.
We’ll agree on fees, contact between appointments and any evening, weekend, travel or extended in-person support before you commit.
