One session.
We can
start there.
Book one private appointment, hire me for a specific service or arrange ongoing support. We’ll agree on the work and fee first.
Choose how
to hire me.
Private appointments
Come once or meet regularly. Work on your substance use, a family concern, boundaries or something you’re trying to change.
Focused services
Hire me for an intervention, treatment admission, transition or a practical service that fits your situation.
Ongoing private involvement
Bring together private sessions, family work, agreed phone and messaging contact, coordination and practical help.
You should know
what you’re paying for.
The service
What I’m taking on, who else will be involved and what needs to be completed.
The fee
Professional time and any separate provider charges, travel, testing, monitoring, transport or companion costs.
Access to me
Appointment times, phone and messaging contact between them, and planned evening or weekend availability.
In-person time
Where we’ll meet, travel arrangements and any longer periods of support.
Reviewing the arrangement
How we’ll review the work, change the level of involvement and address scheduling or cancellation terms.
We’ll talk about cost
before we begin.
The After Group is private pay and does not bill insurance. Outside treatment, medical and testing providers set their own charges.
Use the free 20-minute conversation to discuss the service, availability and fee. You decide whether to book.
Before you
commit.
Do I have to commit to a package?+
No. A private session can stand alone. A specific practical service is considered individually.
What if I need more help later?+
We can discuss a different arrangement as your needs change. We’ll agree on the work and cost before adding it.
Is there unlimited access?+
We agree on contact and availability. Ongoing involvement isn’t an unlimited or continuous emergency service.
How much does private addiction support in Des Moines cost?+
Fees depend on the service and time involved. The first 20-minute conversation is free. Before paid work begins, we’ll discuss the fee and any outside charges.
Does The After Group bill insurance?+
No. The After Group is private pay. A treatment program, laboratory or medical provider involved in your care may have its own insurance and payment arrangements. Ask that provider to confirm coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
Are testing, monitoring, travel and companion costs included?+
We’ll identify those costs in the agreement rather than assume they’re included. Professional time, outside provider charges, transport and travel expenses need to be clear before the service starts.
Can ongoing involvement include phone and messaging contact?+
Yes. We’ll agree on the channels, availability and expectations between appointments. Planned evening, weekend or longer in-person support can also be discussed.
How do we reduce the amount of support later?+
We review what you’re handling yourself and what still needs attention. The goal is more secure decisions and less direction from me. Changes to the work and fees are agreed before they take effect.
