You don’t have
to have it
figured out.
You’re losing weekends, worrying about your drinking or trying to stay well after treatment. Start with the part you want to change.
You get a say
in what changes.
You don’t have to commit to abstinence before calling. Tell me what you want to change.
Sleep through the night. Keep your job. Show up for your kids. Stop losing weekends. We choose an action that serves the goal you care about.
More than an appointment
on a calendar.
Private sessions
A place to work through motivation, patterns, cravings, relationships and choices.
Practical goals
Make the appointment, clean the house, apply for the job or get to the gym. Start with what is achievable.
Connections to care
Find a prescriber, treatment program or other professional when you need one. Keep the care you already have connected.
Support in the difficult moments
Agree on between-session contact, practical help or longer in-person support when it fits.
Room to be honest
Tell me when something isn’t working. We’ll look at it and adjust the next step.
We can talk about
what does.
Work, caregiving, privacy and past treatment experiences matter. We’ll look at options that take your real life into account.
Private support doesn’t replace medical care or a clinical level of care you need. It can work alongside providers and help you follow through outside their appointments.
Choose a starting point.
Private sessions
Work on your drinking or drug use, cravings, relationships or a family situation. Meet once or make it a regular appointment.
Aftercare
Treatment ends. The appointments, bills, cravings and relationships still need attention. I’ll work with you on the life you come home to.
Treatment coordination
I’ll call programs and medication providers, check intake requirements and help arrange admission. You won’t be left with a list of phone numbers.
Bring the part
you want to change.
Maybe you don’t want another weekend gone. Maybe you want to keep your job, see your kids or stop thinking about the next dose. You can say that without having every other answer ready.
We talk about what happens during your actual day, what helps and what keeps getting in the way. Your goal matters. So does a clear conversation about medical care or structured treatment when it is needed.
I can meet with you privately and help with appointments, routines and provider communication. You decide with me what involvement makes sense, including whether family takes part.
If this is
for you.
Can I get help if I’m not sure I want to stop drinking or using?+
Yes. Tell me what you want to be different. We can work from your goals and readiness, look at what keeps happening and choose something you’re willing to try.
Can I get addiction support in Des Moines while working?+
Private appointments and practical support can be arranged around your responsibilities, subject to availability. If you need structured treatment, we’ll ask providers about suitable schedules and care.
Can you help if I’ve already been through treatment?+
Yes. We can work on what’s difficult now: routines, cravings, relationships, work, appointments or a return to use. You don’t have to start the whole story over with a new program to ask about private support.
Do I need my family involved?+
We’ll talk about what you want and who needs to be part of the work. Family involvement and communication with other people are agreed, including appropriate consent.
What if I don’t know whether my substance use is serious enough?+
You can still call. We’ll discuss the effect it’s having and what you’re concerned about. If a clinical assessment or medical appointment would help answer that question, I can help you connect with one.
There is an after.
You don’t have to figure it all out
