How support begins
02
Begin with oneconversation.
You do not need to know which service you need or have the whole situation figured out. Tell me what is happening, what has already been tried, and where you are getting stuck.
Clarity first
The first call is not a commitment. It is a place to get oriented.
We will identify what feels urgent, determine whether The After Group is an appropriate resource, and decide what—if anything—should happen next.
Three ways support can begin
Start small. Add support only when it helps.
01 / COMPLIMENTARY INITIAL CONVERSATION
20 minutes · Complimentary
Tell me what is happening. We will clarify the immediate concern and decide whether a longer conversation or another resource makes sense.
02 / EDUCATION & GUIDANCE
60 minutes · $150
A focused session for treatment questions, decision support, family concerns, recovery planning, provider questions, and practical next steps.
03 / ONGOING SUPPORT
When one conversation is not enough.
Customized support may include family education, nonclinical recovery support, treatment-access help, referral follow-through, structured check-ins, and transition planning.
What to expect
A clear process without another system to manage.
Tell me what is happening.
Share the current concern, what has already been tried, who is involved, and what feels most urgent or unclear.
We separate urgent from important.
Some decisions cannot wait. Others become easier once the situation is slowed down and the options are explained clearly.
You leave with the next move.
The goal is not to solve everything at once. It is to understand the next decision, the questions to ask, and what action belongs to you.
We decide whether to stay connected.
Ongoing support is discussed privately only when the situation calls for it. Pricing and scope depend on the amount and type of support needed.
What you do—and do not—need before reaching out.
You do not need: a diagnosis, a treatment choice, perfect information, agreement from the whole family, or certainty about which service fits.
Helpful if available: current concerns, recent treatment or discharge information, known medications, court or professional recommendations, and the questions keeping you stuck.
If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988. The After Group is not an emergency or crisis-response service.
Tell me what’s happening
You do not need the whole plan. You need the next right move.
Tell me what is happening, what has already been tried, and where you are getting stuck. We will start with the decision in front of you.
