Treatment needs can look very different depending on the substance, withdrawal risk, medical needs, treatment history, and what is happening right now. I can help identify appropriate Iowa resources for:

Medication treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorders
Medication treatment is one of my strongest areas of expertise. I have deep working knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), and medication options used in alcohol use disorder treatment.
I can help individuals and families understand commonly used options such as methadone, buprenorphine and buprenorphine-naloxone (Suboxone), and naltrexone or extended-release naltrexone (Vivitrol), including how different programs are structured and what questions to ask when choosing a provider. I do not prescribe medication; prescribing and medical decisions remain with the treating clinician.

I know Iowa’s treatment system well and have established relationships with providers across multiple levels of care. When timing matters, I can help narrow appropriate options quickly, clarify admission requirements and availability, and organize the next call.
I do not promise admission, preferential access, or a particular outcome. Treatment providers make their own clinical and admission decisions. The value is knowing the system, knowing what questions to ask, and knowing where to look first.
